Version 2.0 (2024) was better. We established ground rules: separate sleeping quarters, a shared "quiet hour" from 9-10 AM, and a "no work talk after 7 PM" policy.
We also experimented with a shared "Mood Light" in the living room. Red meant "Do not approach, I am writing." Blue meant "Open to conversation." Green meant "Let's go get noodles." It was supposed to remove the friction of asking. In reality, I spent three days under a red light while Maya was green, and we ended up eating instant ramen in silence.
