The application runs on a lightweight, dual-language engine built for extreme resource efficiency.

So, what makes silverbullet.v1.1.2 so special? Here are some of its key features:

Key improvements in v2 include: - A more consistent Lua API (using snake_case conventions) - A built‑in “Std” library that works out of the box - Better sync performance and reliability - A smaller, more efficient Docker base image (Alpine instead of Ubuntu)

Unlike bloated PKM tools that lock your data into proprietary formats, Silverbullet stores everything as plain markdown files. With v1.1.2’s improved query engine, you can build dynamic dashboards that aggregate tasks, notes, and metadata across hundreds of files—instantly.

The v1.1.2 release refined several core features that would later become pillars of SilverBullet:

The roadmap teases a (deno or isolated VM) and S3‑backed spaces . Until then, v1.1.2 is the most stable and secure release for single‑user, self‑hosted knowledge management.

: Run the built-in management flag command: silverbullet --upgrade Use code with caution.

The engine utilizes a sequential processing loop. Users build a script structure (often called a ) that determines how the application interacts with a given target API or web form.

In the end, . It proved that the best knowledge management tool isn't the one with the most features, but the one that gives you the power to build the features you need.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
