Renault Easy Link Software Update ~upd~

Go to the Menu , select System , and tap on Software Update .

The toolbox will display available map and firmware updates. Click download. The software will download and automatically unpack the files directly onto your USB drive.

A known issue occurred following a failed OTA update, causing the screen to stay black with the message "Software update: Initializing". Renault acknowledged this as either a software update failure or an internal fault in the telematics unit. In July 2024, they launched a technical campaign affecting over 6,000 vehicles to resolve this defect. If you encounter this, a visit to the dealer is required.

If you know an update exists but your car cannot see it, check your privacy settings. Go to on your Easy Link screen and ensure that Data Sharing is turned ON . If data sharing is off, the vehicle cannot communicate with Renault's update servers. The USB Drive is Not Recognized
